Resetting your AirPods can be useful if you are experiencing issues with them, such as connectivity problems, or if they are not working as expected. Here's how you can reset your AirPods:

For AirPods (1st and 2nd generation) and AirPods Pro:

  1. Open the Bluetooth Settings on Your Device:

    • On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, go to "Settings" > "Bluetooth."
    • On your Mac, go to "System Preferences" > "Bluetooth."
    • On an Android device, go to "Settings" > "Connections" > "Bluetooth."

  2. Forget Your AirPods:

    • In the Bluetooth settings, find the list of devices paired with your device.
    • Locate your AirPods in the list and tap the (i) icon next to them.
    • Select "Forget This Device" or "Disconnect" to unpair the AirPods.

  3. Place Your AirPods in the Charging Case:

    • Put both of your AirPods in the charging case and close the lid.

  4. Reset Your AirPods:

    • With the lid of the charging case closed, wait about 30 seconds.
    • Open the lid, and press and hold the small button on the back of the charging case until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber and then white.

  5. Reconnect Your AirPods:

    • On your device, go back to the Bluetooth settings and reconnect your AirPods.

For AirPods Max:

  1. Open the Bluetooth Settings on Your Device:

    • Follow the same steps as mentioned above for AirPods (1st and 2nd generation) and AirPods Pro.

  2. Forget Your AirPods Max:

    • In the Bluetooth settings, find the list of devices paired with your device.
    • Locate your AirPods Max in the list and tap the (i) icon next to them.
    • Select "Forget This Device" or "Disconnect" to unpair the AirPods Max.

  3. Press and Hold the Noise Control Button:

    • Press and hold the noise control button on the right ear cup of your AirPods Max.

  4. Reset Your AirPods Max:

    • While holding the noise control button, flip open the Smart Case lid and wait for the LED status light to turn white, indicating that your AirPods Max is in pairing mode.

  5. Reconnect Your AirPods Max:

    • On your device, go back to the Bluetooth settings and reconnect your AirPods Max.
